Shiitake Kit Video Instructions

Part 1 - Unboxing

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR BAG (kit) OUT OF THE BOX AND PLACE IT IN REGULAR ROOM LIGHTING. DO NOT OPEN THE BAG!!!!

SOMETIMES YOUR KIT WILL ARRIVE 'CRACKED/SPLIT' IF THE INOCULATION DATE IS OVER A COUPLE WEEKS. SHAPE THE KIT INTO IT'S BRICK SHAPE, CLOSING THE CRACKS, AND ALLOW IT TO SIT UNDERSTURBED FOR 4 DAYS IN ORDER TO HEAL.

Your kit has to sit in room temperature for the next 21 days, from the date on the label of the kit, before moving forward.
21 days is the minimum. It all comes down to room temp. PLEASE SEND US A PICTURE AND WE WILL WORK WITH YOU ON A FIRM STARTING TIME FOR GROWING OUT YOUR SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS!

Part 2

After 21 days (confirm with us first) - Soak the block!

Part 3

Place it into growing conditions.

Part 4

The block is changing color and getting ready to grow mushrooms.

Monitor, grow, harvest and storage
